The 7 ½ Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners was a good reminder of what we need to do to keep our minds active and open to new knowledge and experience. As a caregiver of a relative with Alzheimer’s disease, I appreciate the importance of ensuring those synapses stay healthy!
The hardest habit for me is Habit 7 ½. With everything that needs to be done in a day, it’s hard to find the time to just play. There is also an uncomfortable feeling of wasting time and not accomplishing anything attached to the concept of playing. Mentally, I recognize the value and importance of play, but emotionally, it’s going to be tricky to forget responsibility and enjoy the luxury of play.
The easiest thing will be Habit 2. As you’ve probably guessed, I don’t have much problem accepting responsibility! I like to finish what I start and I like to learn, so this one’s going to be a piece of cake.
Play on....

Inaugural post
Well, I am going to bite the bullet and get something down in black and white. As a part-time staffer, it's hard to find the time to fit it all in but I am really interested in learning more about Web 2.0. I'm also not very comfortable about "letting it all hang out" for everyone to read but I guess I'll have to get used to that!
